Shifting Mindsets & Beliefs about Absenteeism & Behavior – Lawrence

Rooted in the concept of shifting mindsets and beliefs, this workshop will equip teachers with the tools and strategies necessary to problem solving through a culturally responsive lens. Participants will explore the power of culture in shaping classroom dynamics and student engagement. By understanding the interconnectedness between culture, behavior, and absenteeism, educators will learn to proactively address underlying issues and foster a more inclusive and supportive learning environment. Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in interactive discussions, case studies, and hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of culturally responsive problem-solving. From recognizing unconscious biases to leveraging cultural assets within the classroom, teachers will gain practical techniques to create a more equitable and empowering educational experience for all students.
