Greenbush will soon welcome three new educators to the team of coaches working to improve literacy instruction through our Literacy Network of Kansas (LiNK) projects.
Jill Fornelli, who is currently an instructional coach in Emporia, will join the LiNK team next fall. Jill's extensive experience includes 16 years as a classroom teacher and 13 years as an instructional coach, helping new teachers and veterans develop habits of practice that have a positive impact on engagement and learning. Jill is moving to the Pittsburg area to join her husband, who is the new Pittsburg State baseball coach.
Amy Huizenga graduated from Atchison County Community High School and holds degrees in elementary ed from K-State and educational leadership from Pitt State. School districts she's worked in include Topeka, Santa Fe Trail, and, most recently, Auburn Washburn.
Janet Rehmert graduated from Thayer High School and attended Neosho County Community College, and then began a career in banking. Janet left business to open a preschool in her Thayer church, her first foray into education. She then earned bachelor's and master's degrees from PSU, and taught at Royster Middle School in Chanute for 19 years. She is currently wrapping up her fourth year teaching high school English in Cherryvale.
