Title III / ESOL
The Greenbush ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Consortium and the Greenbush Title III Consortium work with districts to help improve the academic, cognitive, and language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing for students who qualify for English Learner (EL) services. There are over 90 languages spoken in Kansas, and Greenbush has the staff and resources to provide teachers with professional development and technical assistance in meeting the needs of every English learner.
To differentiate between the two programs, the Title III Consortium members allocate Federal Title III funds to Greenbush to serve as fiscal agent; the ESOL Consortium is a voluntary membership service for districts to join and receive similar services, but do not generate Federal Title III funds based on EL enrollment.
