The Lakes VLC
Welcome to The Lakes Virtual Learning Center, serving students in Osage and Franklin County. The Lakes is a flexible education program for grades 9 to 12 and adult students to earn their high school diploma. Students can complete their high school graduation requirements via an online curriculum. Laptops are available for a nominal technology support fee per semester.
The Lakes is a fully accredited virtual program that provides flexibility of access along with face-to-face support of an on-site instructor. Regardless of how many credits you have earned we can offer a program to meet your needs and schedule to earn a high school diploma.
Many reasons exist why people have been discouraged or prevented from completing high school in the traditional way. It's important to realize, however, that adults with a high school diploma earn an average of $11,000 more per year than adults who haven't finished high school (U.S. Census Bureau).
If you are an adult who has not completed your high school diploma, The Lakes Virtual Learning Center can provide the high-quality curriculum, professional support, and resources you need to make your dream of earning a diploma a reality.
For High School Students
For high school students under the age of 19, some students thrive working at their own pace outside of the traditional school setting. For others, life situations make flexibility necessary as they continue their pursuit of a high school diploma.
The Lakes Virtual Learning Center allows students the opportunity to tailor their coursework to their needs through a partnership with their local school district.
